This Supplemental Privacy Policy incorporates and supplements the Creative Commons Master Privacy Policy with respect to the information collected through use of the Science Commons Copyright Addendum Engine (“SCAE”). The purpose of this Supplemental Privacy Policy is to provide more specific disclosures that relate to the use of the SCAE. In the event of a conflict between this Supplemental policy and the Master Privacy Policy, the specific terms of this policy takes precedence with respect to the use of the SCAE.

Scholar’s Copyright Addendum Engine

We collect the information that you enter in order to generate a customized copyright addendum, including your name, the title of your article, the name of the publisher, and other types of information that you may enter at your option.

Creative Commons uses this information to generate the Scholar’s Copyright addendum containing the information that you choose to enter. We do not share personal information with other parties. However, we may disclose or publish aggregated or statistical data that does not identify you.

If you send us an e-mail or other communication, we may use your personal information to respond to you or to take appropriate action.

We may retain contractors who help us to improve our Web site or services, and they may be given access to personal information as needed to perform their services. However, we require them to agree to protect your information as we would under this policy.
